"This is a wine to keep; its character resulting from the soil composition (The cote du Py hillside near the tiny village of Morgon). This is the most typical wine of this appellation, thanks to its rich soil of blue stones coming from the disintegration of schist." —winemaker
"100% Gamay. This bottling from the celebrated climat of Corcelette is the first Desvignes wine from sourced fruit. They harvest the fruit by hand from a 0.8-hectare plot of 50-year-old vines on sandy pink granite soils on a south-facing slope (see the dark swatch on the gorgeous label) in the western part of Corcelette near the border of the climat of St. Joseph." —importer

"100% Gamay. 2020 was the first vintage of this wine from a new parcel for Desvignes in the historic lieu-dit of Javernières, which lies at the foot of the famous hill of the Côte du Py and features much heavier and stickier soils of deep, iron-rich red clay. in the lieu-dit of Aux Pierres, the Desvignes family now has a 0.57-hectare parcel of 90-year-old vines on an east-facing slope of stony clay soils with schist, pyrite and decomposed volcanic rocks. It is in the process of being certified organic, in line with the rest of their estate farming." —importer
