From this distillery comes the Balvenie DoubleWood. Two casks of different character produce a deeper, more complex flavour and greater character than maturation in only one wood. During maturation, the Balvenie DoubleWood is transferred from a traditional whisky oak cask to an original sherry oak cask, thereby acquiring character from each cask.
